Meet the Maker: Tattly
Tired of putting poorly designed temporary tattoos on her daughter’s arm (think of bad clip art designs), Tina Roth Eisenberg took matters into her own hands. Tattly works with a wide roster of professional artists and illustrators to turn their artwork into unique Tattly designs. They know how important it is to support their local artists.
How did your company get started?
After applying many bad-clip-art tattoos on her daughter, swissmiss decided to stop complaining and take matters into her own hands. Tattly was born!
Tell us about your company mission.
At Tattly, We believe that great design and art can make people happy. We believe that quality products and great customer support are the only options. And we believe that, whether for a child or an adult, every Tattly should come with a smile.
Tattly works closely with artists to create their designs. Can you tell us a bit more?
Tattly works with a wide roster of professional artists and illustrators to turn their artwork into unique Tattly designs. Sometimes we see a design and think, "that would be an awesome Tattly!" or if there is a design we feel we are missing, we can have a large network of artist that we can reach out to. We feel it's important to support our artist community, our artist receives royalties quarterly based on the number of their designs that are sold.
Why do you think temporary tattoos have become trendy again?
I think temporary tattoos have become exciting again as people are having fun with how they are expressing themselves! There’s something so fun about being able to wear a design on your skin for a few days, and then have it wash off once you’re tired of it or the occasion is over. There’s a wonderful playfulness to them. I’m sure there is also a certain nostalgic value to them too!
